In order to recognize the technical experts efforts in the field of standardization and at the same time to draw attention of industry management to the work of the experts they send to participate in IEC work, the 1906 Award has been created within IEC, commemorating the year of the IEC’s foundation.
For the year 2020, the TC 40 Awardees for the IEC 1906 Award are:
- Mr. Tomoya Antachi, contributing to the maintenance of IEC 60286-16 as a Convenor and IEC 60384-11 as well as IEC 60384-13 as an Expert.
- Mr. Toshiyuki Nojiri, contributing to the maintenance of IEC 60539-2 as a Convenor.
- Mr. Michael Flüge, setting up and convening the working group for non-linear resistors and essential work to establish the liaison between TC 40 and SC 37B
